Privacy policy
Draft for the PLAY private alpha. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
We collect only what PLAY needs to run: your account (email, handle, display name, birth year), what you play and for how long (to recommend games and show creators anonymous analytics), payments, and security signals such as rate limits.
What creators see
Creators see aggregate analytics about their games. Games never see your email or account id; through the PLAY SDK they get a game-specific player id and your display name only.
Advertising
PLAY shows no third-party ads and sells no personal data. Functional analytics, payment records and security data are stored separately.
Your controls
From Settings you can download all data linked to your account, and delete your account. Deletion removes your profile, likes, follows, game saves and notifications, takes your games off PLAY, and detaches your play history from you. Payment, payout and tax records are kept as long as the law requires.
Cookies
PLAY uses a sign-in cookie, a random browser id for anonymous play history, and a cookie remembering your answer to the age check. No tracking cookies.
